Park Maintenance
People go to parks to get in a better mood, to reinvigorate themselves and decrease the anxieties of daily life. Having close to home access to places where one can recreate is one of the most important factors linking whether people will become active and stay that way. Park Maintenance ensures that the facilities are safe and secure so that users return.

Development and Enhancement
The American tradition to preserve public lands for the benefit and use for all and the love of parks is one of the defining characteristics of our national identity. Parks have benefits to a community by improving the quality of life and make communities liveable and desirable for businesses and homeowners by improving property value, providing steady jobs and numerous small business benefits. The RCSD has acquisitioned land from Kern County and seeking land from the Bureau of Land Management to be able to offer park expansion for residents. Currently there are 17 sites in the Park Master Plan for future development and enhancement.

Recreation Programs

Diverse range of recreational programs offer the opportunity to develop skills necessary to successfully and confidently engage in sports, dance, crafts and other social activities. Community recreation programs provide children with a safe refuge and a place to play, especially for at-risk youth. One of the recreation goals is to provide high quality, life-enhancing programs and interventions for all people.

Water Conservation

Water Treatment
