Kathleen Spoor- Director

I became a resident of the Antelope Valley in 1987 and Rosamond in 1992. Married for 42 years to Dan Spoor with two grown children, one teaches at Rosamond Elementary, andthe other is self-employed in Stockton, CA. I am the proud grandmother of four.

Education: High School Diploma, College extension courses, Business and Accounting courses, Real Estate courses, and extensive computer courses.

I have a variety of business experiences to draw on, from working on our family farm for 15 years, owning and operating a Christian bookstore for 3 years, selling real estate, doing loan consulting for 5 years, retail management for 7 years, starting my own tour and charter business from the ground up in 1998 called Old West Tours, to co-managing and co-owning Big Iron Construction andLandscape Materials located on Sierra Highway inRosamond since 2001.

I am currently serving my second term as Director on the Board of Rosamond Community Services District, as well as being active on the Board of the Antelope Valley Chambers of Commerce as Director.

I am committed to help develop a long-range plan to benefit our growing and changing community. We need parks for our children, improvements in our community, and we need fiscal responsibility (water rates/sewer rates) to the RCSD customers.
